I was raised in a musical family and have been singing since I could talk. When I managed to get my gymnasium diploma in 2008 I started to have doubts. I could study whatever I wanted but my heart told me to choose music. I would have regretted it later if I hadn’t made that choice. I went to the conservatorium in Utrecht after I finished the gymnasium. I was trained in the course singing Jazz & Pop. After three years of studying I was curious if I was talented enough and sought out a challenge. I decided to sign up for The Voice of Holland. All chairs turned for me during the audition and I chose the legendary Marco Borsato to coach me. In the end I didn’t make it past the second live show, the eight finale. After that experience I completed my last year of training and managed to finish my bachelor of Music Zang Jazz & Pop in 2012 with the end mark of 8,5/10.
In 2012 I recorded two songs for the Disney movie Brave. In October 2013 I got a phone call from Marco Borsato. He asked if I would like to be a backing vocal singer for his band. I was very excited because I was allowed to tour with him. The ‘Duizend Spiegels tour’ was an amazing tour. During this tour I was allowed to sing the duet ‘Ik zou het zo weer overdoen’ with Marco.
And the adventure with Marco went on! In the end we played no less than 6 times in 2015 in the Ziggodome during Symphonica in Rosso. Plans for the future? Enough!
