The love for country music came from his father who grew up in Eastern-Texas. His most recent album has been recorded live in the Netherlands with his Dutch band Desperado. In many ways, it is his best album: You really hear the ‘feeling’ of a live performance. John has received guidance from both the Sound of Silence and Desperado.
