Stefan de Roon

Stefan was born and raised in Waalwijk and has been involved in music from an early age. It began with play backing and playing guitar on self-made cardboard guitars. When Stefan was 14 he formed his first band together with his brother which was named TBS (This Band Sucks). Soon after Stefan decided to start learning how to play a guitar and nowadays his studio is even filled with them. In 2001 Stefan competed in the television programme ‘Starmaker’. He was able to experience many successes with the pop group K-otic which was created as a result of the show. These successes were TMF awards, Platinum and Gold albums and 13 performances in the popular concert venue Ahoy. In 2003, K-otic quit and Stefan tried many different things in the music business, from studio work to touring with many different bands in the whole of Europe.

In December 2016, K-otic performed again after 15 years in the Heineken Music Hall where it also started in 2001. Together with colleagues, Stefan treated 5000 fans with an amazing live show in which they performed all their hits. Stefan is well known for his energy and humour on stage and he makes sure that every party is a blast.
